11. Be an AirHead on a Trampoline
AirHeads Trampoline Arena in Tampa and Largo

Airheads is a low-impact workout that is easy on the joints but great for lower body muscles. There two Bay Area locations one in Largo another in Tampa. They offer unlimited jumping for $16.95 a day. For a limited time if you pay for a day, you can come back for two consecutive weeks and jump for free! On Mother’s Day Weekend you can jump with Super Heroes from noon – 3p.

10. Experience a Sunset Festival at Pier 60
Clearwater Beach

This weekend experience artisans, crafters, street performers and musical entertainment. Sunsets at Pier 60 are totally free! They even have free movies! Friday movie – “The Pirate Fairy” – G rated and on Saturday night see “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows” – PG rated. Time: 6 – 10 p.m.

9. Attend the Mayor’s Mac & Cheese Throwdown
Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park

Saturday from 4 – 10 p.m. join Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn’s for the Mac & Cheese Throwdown. Attendees will taste and vote on who makes the best mac & cheese in Tampa. Admission but the food tastings cost a fee. There will be live music, craft beer and wine vendors, plus games & activities for all ages.

8. Save Money at Mom’s Get Into the Zoo Free Weekend
Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo

On Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11, moms receive free admission with the purchase of a child’s full-priced admission ticket. Admission for Children 3-11 is $19.95, children 2 and under are free.

7. Eat, Drink & Watch Fireworks on Clearwater Beach
Clearwater Beach Taste Fest

Friday night May 9 from 5;30 to 8:30 p.m. in Clearwater Beach enjoy food samples, premium wine and craft beer, live music and fireworks. The event is on the Beach Walk Promenade between the Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce office & the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa. Tickets are $25 per person 21 and up. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

6. Take Your Pet to Pet-A-Palooza
Raymond James Stadium

Saturday’s Pet-A-Palooza is the perfect way to spend quality time with your pet and mom at the same time. Entertainment for the whole family includes heart-pounding dock jumping competitions from the Ultimate Air Dogs, pet contests, tons of giveaways, and FREE pet & owner psychic readings from the Star Goddess.  Hours: 10 – 3 p.m.

5. Have A Taste Of Pinellas
St Petersburg

Mom and the whole family will love this two day event on Friday and Saturday in downtown St. Petersburg. Enjoy food, concerts and a family fun-zone. Children’s activities include a rock climbing wall, bounce house, inflatables, face painting and more. In concert: Pat Benatar, Bruce Hornsby, Loverboy and KC and the Sunshine Band. Admission $22 – $25. Food: $2 – $12.

4. Visit The Ballpark
Rays vs Indians at Tropicana Field

Rays play three games against Cleveland at the Trop this weekend. The Mother’s Day game is the only day game and includes: Free parking for cars with four or more passengers, variety of FREE activities for kids to do with mom or grand-mom. First 10,000 women get a beautiful white sun with a cool Rays ribbon. Tickets start at $22.

3. Get the Royal Treatment at the Spa

Word of warning traffic can be heavy on the weekends so go early and stay past sunset. The parking lots close to the beach fill fast and are costly. There are discounts if you buy a day pass.
