Chef Richard Bottini creates a new, nightly limited-choice menu inspired by fresh seasonal ingredients and creative whimsy. Each course — appetizer, soup, salad, entree, cheese and dessert — is a one-of-a-kind adventure for your taste buds. Foodies can expect to see just about anything on the menu from grilled kale, potato soufflé and gulf shrimp bisque to ricotta salada fondue and cocoa chantilly guava. Boizão is a Brazilian word meaning “big bull.” This authentic Brazilian restaurant has served the Tampa Bay area since 2007 and dishes up a three-course meal of salad, meats with side dishes and dessert. Guests who order the prix-fixe option can choose to visit the salad bar as many times as they like and can create their own feast of fresh-cut vegetables, roasted peppers, imported cheeses, sushi and more. For the second course, guests can choose from 16 prime cuts of meat such as filet mignon and picanha, which are carved tableside by the chefs and served with unlimited Brazilian side dishes including pao de queijo (cheese bread), plantains and black beans. Save room for dessert. If you can, you won’t want to miss out on crème de papaya (papaya cream dessert) or pudim de leite (flan).

The prix fixe menu at Currents gets you three delicious courses: salad, entree and dessert. Currents tries to stay in sync with each changing season, therefore the menu can sometimes change. It is listed online for viewing before your visit. Guests have a choice of either Caesar salad or a wedge salad to start the meal. For the second course, there is a choice of either a smoked half chicken, braised beef short ribs or grilled mahi mahi. End the meal on a sweet note with either ice cream or tiramisu.

Cafe Alma serves up four scrumptious courses for one low price. The appetizer course includes a choice of either chilled piri piri shrimp, smoked salmon bruschetta, crispy papas (fried potatoes) or pulled pork tacos followed up by either the soup of the day or the house or Greek salad for the second course. There are five selections to choose from for the entree including Portuguese skirt steak and eggplant short stack. Save room for the incredible triple chocolate brownie made with imported chocolate and macadamia nuts all topped with cinnamon icing.

The Vernona’s prix fixe lunch menu is surprisingly long, including at least five choices for each of the three courses. The appetizer list includes tried-and-true favorites such as French onion soup along with unique creations like popcorn bisque made with crab meat, coconut milk and real popcorn. The entree course offers delicious treats like gnocchi, steak frites and grilled wahoo. Decadent desserts such as key lime pie, six-layer chocolate cake and white chocolate cheesecake will satisfy your sweet tooth.
