Drive go-carts, play miniature golf or play in the arcade at this recently updated seven-acre entertainment complex in Hernando County. There’s also a kiddie train, a bounce house and specialized truck that serves pizza. Prices are very affordable with go-cart and miniature golf at just $6. The bounce house and kiddie train cost $3.

One of the most popular parks in the Tampa Bay area, Fred Howard Park is also home to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. This 155-acre site along the Gulf of Mexico offers an affordable way for families to enjoy the Sunshine State. In addition to a nature trail and canoeing, there’s a playground, ball fields, swimming and fishing. Barbecue grills are available, as well as picnic areas. Parking is $5 for the day.

There is something for everyone at Tampa Bay’s Museum of Science and Industry. The IMAX Dome transforms planetary science into a thrilling experience with light beams, cinema and sound revealing the Hidden Universe like magic. There are also exhibit galleries, a Children’s Gala, a moon base and dozens of other fun and educational experiences to marvel at. Adult admission is under $25 and kids two and under are free.
