The Getaway Tampa Bay is a Florida Keys-inspired waterfront tiki bar and marina destination on Tampa Bay. Conveniently situated in St. Petersburg off of Gandy Boulevard with deep water access for boats of all sizes. Boat up to this tropical paradise with coconut palms and sugar sand and enjoy an ice cold brew or tropical drinks in your bathing suit and bare feet overlooking the mangroves of the Weedon Island Preserve. The Getaway doesn’t serve food, but they have different food trucks that stop by every day so you’ll never get tired of the same old food. They also offer paddle board rentals and other games for you to play. Shepard’s north of the Sandkey Bridge on Clearwater Beach is a popular bar for boaters and jet skiers. There are no docks only shallow anchorage. Local boaters just drop an anchor and wade in. Be aware of the currents they are usually strong. Shepard’s has a Tiki bar, food, live music and lots of hard bodies sun tanning on their private beach. Shepard’s is a 21 and up beach bar/restaurant. Can be wild and young.

Ricks On The River is a combination marina, local casual bar and grille. Boats up to 50 feet in length can dock there. It’s the perfect place party your sunburned butt off. after a day of boating. Their drinks will get you “toe up from the flow up”. That is one step above “tore up from the floor up”. The weekend bands on the deck are loud, redneck and rowdy. Island Way Grill is a better choice if you are looking for a less party animal experience. It’s located in Mandalay Bay Lagoon near Clearwater Memorial Causeway. At least six boats can tie up to restaurant’s sea wall. Inside they serve sophisticated seafood and steaks and sushi. Their food on the deck includes salads, grouper sandwiches and oysters. On the weekends the deck and tiki bar have live music.
