NICEVILLE, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – The first rule of hitching a ride with a cop: leave the pot at home.

That lesson was driven home for a Florida woman.

On November 18th, 41-year-old Kristen Nichole Wingard was pulled over by a Niceville police officer for a burnt-out headlight.

During the traffic stop, the officer discovered her driver’s license had been suspended.

Wingard asked for a ride home, and said it would be OK for the officer to search her.

In her wallet, he found some marijuana, a pipe and a clear plastic baggie containing a pill that was later identified as clonazepam, reports the northwest Florida Daily News.

Wingard was charged with driving with a suspended license second offense, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, marijuana possession and drug equipment possession.
