FORT MYERS (CBS Tampa) – A substitute teacher has been fired after showing second-graders a clip from the Discovery Channel’s Naked and Afraid, a reality show about strangers forced to survive in the wilderness without clothes.
While the show blurs the images of naked bodies, the principal felt the need to take action, and the teacher was dismissed, reports WINK-TV.
The principal of Golden Gate Elementary called the parents of every second-grader in the school, explaining what happened in three different languages.
Some of the parents didn’t really understand what happened until they watched the show for themselves.
After a further investigation, the substitute, who is not being named to protect her privacy, was banned from the Collier School District.
