Greg Cosell from NFL Films joined Justin today to discuss the Buccaneers win from this past Sunday, and said there were a lot of good things to take away from the team’s performance. One of the things obviously that stood out during the game was Mike Evans. Cosell says that while Evans has yet to run the entire “route tree”, Evans is a very good athlete with great size and hands that allow him to make plays while he is covered. Cosell says that Evans can be a player that can be a match up nightmare for defenses for years.

With Josh McCown back at quarterback, Greg said that McCown benefited from the offensive line giving him time to scan the field and find the open receiver. Cosell said that the Bucs offense benefited from a poor performance by the Redskins defense, and a total bust on defense to allow Mike Evans to score one of his touchdowns.

On the other side, Greg says that the Bucs defense did play well, but said that the play of Robert Griffin III was a huge help for the Bucs. Cosell said that RGIII is playing ” As poorly as any quarterback in the NFL right now.”
