“The National Football League today announced that Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 11. He is the first wide receiver to win the award in franchise history.

Against Washington, Evans caught seven passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns. He is the first rookie to record at least 200 yards and two touchdowns in a game since Anquan Boldin (217 yards at Detroit, 9/7/03) and the youngest player in NFL history to record 200 receiving yards in a game. Evans also joins Antonio Bryant as the only players in franchise history to record at least 200 yards and two touchdowns in the same game.

Over the last four weeks, Evans’ 536 receiving yards are the most in the NFL by 60 yards, while his five touchdown receptions are tied for second. He is averaging 21.4 yards per catch during that span.

Evans currently leads all rookies and is 10th in the NFL with 794 receiving yards on the season, while his seven touchdown receptions are tied for the 11th-most in the league. He is tied for the NFL lead with 12 receptions of 25+ yards.
