Charles Davis joins Fan Interference once again as he does every weekend to recap the weekend in college football. Charles started off by talking about how the Florida Gators shocked the state by beating Georgia in a game no one saw coming. Charles says that Will Muschamp has put Jeremy Foley in a tough spot after a win in such a big game like Florida-Georgia. Charles says that the tough part of replacing Muschamp is that he has not seen a no doubt, home run type hire this year in college football the way Urban Meyer was there when Ron Zook was let go.
Charles along with being a college guy, he loves the NFL draft. Charles when asked about the quarterback position with the Bucs said that during the draft when given the choice between Winston and Mariota, that he would go with Marcus Mariota. Charles says that the role of the quarterback isn’t the way that it use to be with commanding the huddle or being a leader. In today’s game, you just need a player who can execute, not someone who needs to be an alpha dog. Charles says that you do need a guy who takes control of the situation, but it’s not the way it was in the past that the QB commands the room.
