Show favorite, and best friend of Justin Pawlowski, Ben Bishop joined Fan Interference to talk to us about the start of the season. The team had a very impressive preseason, and the guys are ready to get going here in the regular season. Ben says that on opening night, he still gets a little bit of butterflies, but says that he is looking forward to starting at home in front of the fans.

One of the constants this off season nationally for the team is the high expectations. Ben says that after last year, their own expectations are high with a good group of guys that made the playoffs the year prior. Ben says that now that the group has had a year in the playoffs, they now know what to expect when they do make the playoffs next. After what happened last year, the guys are eager to turn things around after being swept by Montreal.

In the off season, Ben signed a 2 year extention that will keep him here with the team for 3 more years. Bishop is looking forward to being apart of an organization that wants to do whatever it takes to keep the core together that they believe can win another Stanley Cup in Tampa Bay.

Ben Bishop was forced to miss the playoffs for the team after requiring wrist surgery. While Bishop says that the wrist will never be 100%, it is feeling better and really says that he has no issues stopping or shooting pucks.
