Every Tuesday our good friend Charles Davis joins Fan Interference to review the weekend in college football. This past weekend, Charles got to see Oklahoma take on West Virginia. Charles doesn’t usually believe in bowl games from the previous year carrying over to success, but after their win last year against Alabama, it really set a tone for them this season.

Oklahoma is a team that can play with anyone in the country with the way they have added strength up front allowing them to come and hit you in the mouth.

In the SEC, Charles says that the West is as good as it gets in college football. Although those teams are going to beat each other up, a team like Alabama or Auburn does have the talent to emerge from the West. Another team to look for after their big win this past weekend was Mississippi State, who Charles says has the front 7 to play with anyone in that conference. And if the quarterback Prescott can continue to make plays, they can ruin some seasons.

A couple of major powers have coaches who are firmly on the hot seat are Florida and Michigan. Charles says that although they are in the SEC, Florida has the better opportunity to be a more successful job based on the recruiting area that Florida has access too. Florida doesn’t need to drive very far to get some of the nations best talent in their backyard. Michigan is forced to travel outside of their state to get the best talent in the country.
