Live from Atlanta Roy Cummings from the Tampa Tribune joined us for all the latest news on the Bucs as they get set to take on the Falcons.

Cummings said his guess is that the Bucs are probably going to play it safe and keep Gerald McCoy out of Thursday’s game. If this was a Sunday game, it may be a different story.

Cummings said he’s heard the rumors that Bobby Rainey would get more carries than Doug Martin even if Martin were to start and Cummings said that isn’t surprising. Rainey looked good last week and he wouldn’t argue with that decision.

Despite the 0-2 record, Cummings said he’s seen a lot of positives. On the offensive side of the ball, Josh McCown has a 68% completion percentage and his other numbers are good for a starting QB. Cummings also said that this team is just a couple mistakes away from being 2-0. He’s not giving up on this team.

Cummings said that if McCown continues to make mistakes, you could see move to Glennon before the end of the season. McCown has to be better in critical situations and can’t have turnovers in the redzone.
