Mark Cook from Pewter Report joined Fan Interference to give us a preview of this week’s Bucs game against the Carolina Panthers.
Mark says that although Jeff Tedford may still be recovering from his surgical procedure this past week, he will still have input on the Sunday game plan regardless of whether Tedford is in the stadium Sunday or not.
One of the things the Bucs players on defense have pointed out this week is that they want to be an elite defense. Even Lovie himself wants his team to talk with that swagger that they are one of the best units in the country.
Speaking of that defense, Mark was asked who would be the one guy that the team could not afford to lose. Without question, Gerald McCoy is not only their best player on defense, but it also the heart and soul of that group.
One of the biggest shocks of camp was the team deciding to release Connor Barth from the team for the rookie Patrick Murray. Lovie feels confident that he can replicate the production of Barth, and brings a level of versatility to the position that Barth did not. Murray can also handle kickoffs and punt in case of emergency.
