Over the weekend the Rays continued to lose as they were swept by the Red Sox at Fenway, the Kings beat the Blackhawks in overtime to advance to the Stanly Cup Final, and after a week off Game of Thrones returned last night, but I was following some other stories.

California Chrome has a new shoe deal with Skechers, yes… a horse has a shoe deal. The Skechers brand will be featured on the horse’s blanket, barn and on all of the clothes and hats worn by the horse’s trainers and handlers. California Chrome goes for the Triple Crown Saturday in the Belmont Stakes.

Prince was performing in Paris over the weekend, so he made a stop at Roland Garros to catch Rafeal Nadal play in the French Open. He was dressed in a turtleneck underneath a flowing vest frock that matched his pants. He was rocking a thin mustache, afro and a scepter. Allegedly, Prince invited Rafa to his show the night before, but it’s not known if Nadal went to the concert.

For all you sneakerheads, just in time for 4th of July, the NBA is rolling out a special, limited edition 68th anniversary shoe. The red, white and blue kicks will be released on June 6, with only 1,946 pairs being made available. No word on the price, which means they’re expensive.
