Scott Reynolds from Pewter Report was live at Bucs rookie mini camp and broke down what he was out of the first year Buccaneers.

Reynolds said Mike Evans made a fantastic one handed catch today at mini camp and looked every bit the part of a first round draft pick.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins was held out of one-on-one drills because of a lingering foot injury but Reynolds said seeing him in person shows his size and capability of a pass catching TE.

Reynolds said despite popular opinion Charles Sims was a great pick for the Bucs and he’s everything as advertised after seeing him today catch passes out of the backfield. He said that he will fit right into Jeff Tedford’s offense.

Reynolds said there are questions at guard, but Jamon Meridith is solid guard when healthy and the running game thrives behind him. He should fit this offense well. Even if Carl Nicks does return healthy, Reynolds said the question is can he be the Carl Nicks of old? Selfishly speaking, Reynolds said he’d like to see Davin Joseph come back.
