Scott Carter from Gator Zone joined Booger and Rich to talk about the struggles the Gators have had over the last few weeks and how hot Will Muschamp’s seat is right now.
Carter said he doesn’t think Muschamp should be fired this season because he’s been dealt a tough hand. He’s had several injuries at key positions, including 8 starters. Carter said he’ll have to make some changes in the offseason but he fully expects him to be here next season.
Carter said the offense has struggled but they’ve been plagued by injuries. Carter did admit that they need to find a true identity. It’s been a different brand with Muschamp and Carter says we really haven’t seen what Brent Pease wants to do with the offense yet.
As of right now, Carter says the Gators still feel good about their upcoming recruiting class. If players decide to decommit, then the Gators and Muschamp may have some serious problems.
If they do make a change, Carter said Charlie Strong is a natural choice to come and take the head coaching job. Cliff Kingsbury could be another option because of his strong offensive approach.
