The Tampa Bay Rays have called up their top hitting prospect Wil Myers from Triple-A Durham to join the team on their road trip to Boston this week.

The Rays have optioned 2B Ryan Roberts to Durham to make room on the roster for Myers.

Myers hit .283 with 14 HR and 57 RBI in 63 games with the Durham Bulls this season.

Myers was acquired by the Rays in a blockbuster trade that included sending SP James Shields to the Royals last off-season.
