The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced in a press conference on Thursday that Warren Sapp will be inducted into their Ring of Honor on November 11th during the Monday night game against the Miami Dolphins.

The Glazers also made a special surprise announcement during the press conference that Warren Sapp’s #99 jersey will also be retired by the team during the ceremony.

The larger than life DT was voted as one of the next inductees into the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio back in February.

Sapp also said during his press conference that he thinks Derrick Brooks will be the next member of the Buccaneers Ring of Honor.

After playing nine season with the Bucs, and four more with Oakland, Sapp amassed some amazing stats (especially for an interior lineman):

198 games played (188 starts) with 96.5 sacks, 4 interceptions, 19 forced fumbles, 12 fumble recoveries and a total of 3 touchdowns scored (two as a receiver, one on an interception return.
