Veterans Day is Sunday, November 11 and there are many restaurants and business who want to thank our veterans by providing them with discounts or a free meal. Here’s our list of the best Veterans Day free meals and discounts.

Tip: Some of these Veterans Day free meals are nationwide and some are only at participating locations.  Sunday, Nov. 11  is Veterans Day but some deal are only on Monday Nov. 12. Golden Corral The 2012 Military Appreciation “thank you” dinner is Monday, November 12 from 4pm – 9pm. This free dinner is open to anyone who has ever served in the U.S. Military. No ID required. Dine-in only. The free “thank you” dinner is available to any person who has ever served in the United States Military. Families members are welcomed to eat at regular prices.

Chili’s Chili’s is offering all military veterans past and present their choice of one of 8 meals. This offer is available from 11am – 5pm on November 11, 2011 at participating Chili’s in the U.S. check online for participating locations. Dine-in from limited menu only; beverages and gratuity not included. Veterans and active duty military simply show proof of military service. Visit their website to find locations.

Olive Garden – A Veterans Day free meal for all veterans and active duty at Olive Garden will be on Sunday, November 11, 2012.  There will be several entre options including  seafood Alfredo, Chicken Parmigiana, Grilled Sausage & Peppers Rustica, Cheese Ravioli, or Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. All these entrees come with freshly baked garlic bread sticks and choice of soup or salad. Olive Garden restaurants are open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.

California Pizza Kitchen – On Sunday Nov. 11 and Monday the 12th military and veterans can enjoy a free meal and non-alcoholic beverage  with valid ID. There are two locations in the Tampa Bay area. One in Tampa at International Plaza and the other in Brandon on Brandon Town Center.

Applebee’s – Free meals to military veterans and active duty service members all day Veterans Day, Sunday Nov. 11. There will be seven meals to choose from. Military ID or proof of service required. Visit Applebee’s website to find participating locations. There are 21 Applebee’s in the Tampa Bay area.

T.G.I. Friday’s – Free Lunch, Monday Nov. 12, 2012 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Valid for all US Military personnel and veterans. Must wear uniform (if permitted by your service) or present military ID or other proof of service. Only valid at participating locations for anyone with an old or current military ID.

Champps Americana – All Veterans and Active Military will receive a free Champps Cheeseburger and fries on Monday November 12th. Proof of service required. Offer not valid for the Pepperjack Bacon Stack Burger or Kobe Burger. Dine in only, valid at participating locations. There is only one Champps in the in Tampa Bay: 2223 North West Shore Tampa, FL 33607.

Anheuser Busch Heres to the Heroes – Throughout 2012, members of the military and as many as three direct dependents may enter SeaWorld or Busch Gardens once a year with a single-day complimentary admission.

Hooter’s All 8 Tampa Hooter’s locations are serving up a free meal to military veterans all day on Veterans Day (Sunday). This offer is valid for all veterans and active duty military personnel. Get 10 Free boneless wings with a drink purchase. Military ID or proof of military service.

Outback Steakhouse – Outback is offering free blooming onion and a coke product drink for past and present military. Plus, a 10% discount for all military and veterans from Nov. 13 to  Dec. 31, 2012. (Military ID required)

Krispy Kreme – Krispy Kreme is honoring all veterans and active duty military with a free doughnut and small coffee this Veterans Day (Sunday, November 11, 2012) at participating U.S. stores.  Offer available to all active-duty, retirees & veterans. Be sure to call ahead to verify your local Krispy Kreme is participating.

Denny’sStop by Denny’s on Monday, November 12, 2012 and all active, non-active, and retired military personnel can get free all you can eat pancakes from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There are 22 Denny’s in Tampa Bay. This offer applies to active military or veterans only.

National Parks – There are more than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees but several time a year including Veteran’s Day weekend they are free to active duty military and veteran’s.  November 10 – 11 is Veterans Day weekend.

Sports Authority—15 percent off all purchases: All veterans and military personnel can stop by Sports Authority to receive 15 percent off their entire purchase on Sunday, Nov. 11 only. Please show proper identification or proof of service at check-out to receive this special offer.
