The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have traded their troubled cornerback Aqib Talib to the New England Patriots.
The trade makes perfect sense on the surface: The Bucs had had enough of Talib and the Patriots needed help in their depleted secondary. No word has surfaced on what the team has received in return as of yet.
Talib is currently 3 games into a 4 game suspension for abusing the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs, which was described by Talib as Adderall. Talib has also faced numerous off-the-field issues including a fight at the rookie syposium, allegedly attacking a cab driver, and recently having charges dropped on discharging a firearm.
