2.)  The 3rd Annual “Dyeing the Channel Green”

Channelside, Tampa
On Thursday March 17th, the Garrison Channel goes green for the third year in a row, using an environmentally friendly liquid concentrate. With the help of the Rough Riders and the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament at the St. Pete Times Forum, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in the Channel District will be the place to be. A whole day of activities and events, ending with a huge celebration in Channelside.

4:00 pm- The festivities begin with live music in the Channelside Courtyard
5:00-5:30 pm: Rough Riders will board the float
5:45 pm: Rough Riders float will leave the StarShip dock
6:00 pm: St Patrick’s Day Dyeing of the Channel begins
6:30 pm-?: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Channelside Bay Plaza with live music, Irish specials, and the best waterfront view of the GREEN Garrison Channel
8:00 pm- Bon Jovi Tribute Band, Slippery When Wet performs

3.)  St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Tampa celebrates the life of the patron saint of the Ireland with festivities. A parade with floats accompanied by green-clad dancers and traditional Irish music.

They rope off an area in the parking lot and open up more bars in the outside area. There is also live music direct from Ireland, a Tampa Bay pipe band and it wouldn’t be a real party without Irish Dancers.

If you’re in St. Pete and in the need of some good ol’ Irish fun and green beer. Stop by Durty Nelly’s 2011 Block Party. A massive street party with multiple bars and food vendors. Seventeen bands playing inside and outside with two national headliner’s outside. Plus its free party no cover or ticket needed.
