Ever wondered what you’d do if you didn’t have your current job? These pro athletes all have a plan to fall back on – music!

5 – Carl Edwards

The Roush/Fenway driver is best known for his performance on the track and triumphant backflips in NASCAR’s victory lane, but what most don’t know is that he’s also pretty good with a six string in his hand! Edwards has chops too, he’s even joined the likes of the Zac Brown Band and Robert Randolph and the Family Band on stage!

4 – Doug Flutie

Former NFL, CFL and USFL QB Doug Flutie is a man of many talents. Whether dicing up opposing defenses with his passing and running skills, or kicking drop-kicks (Flutie is the most recent player to have attempted the feat in the NFL), he’s definitely made fans take notice. Now, he’s turning heads with his percussive prowess. Flutie is the drummer for the Flutie Brothers Band featuring his brother Darren on guitar.

3 – Henrik Lundqvist

On top of being one of the best goalies in the game, Lundqvist is also a pretty damn good guitar player! He even joined Jimmy Fallon on TV once to play the Guns N’ Roses’ hit “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and show off his chops!

2 – John Daly

Whatever you think of Daly as a golfer, the dude could definitely hit a ball really far. What you didn’t know is that the larger-than-life character is also a scratch guitar player and singer. Check out this performance of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door”

1 – Shaquille O’Neal

Whatever you think of Shaq’s talent as a rapper, he’s the only athlete on this list with a platinum album. A champion and MVP as a player, Shaq always had more in mind off the court. Whether he’s acting, endorsing products on TV or spitting rhymes, we just have to watch… just don’t let him ask Kobe Bryant how ANYTHING tastes.
