The Funshine Music Festival is the biggest outdoor concert event to rock the Tampa Bay music scene in some time. Over 30 bands and some of the greatest musicians of our time will be performing on six different stages in a carnival atmosphere.  $25 gives you unlimited rides and musical fun.  Friday, May 3rd: Train, The Smashing Pumpkins, Cheap Trick, Good Old War, American Idols Phillip Phillips.and others. Saturday, May 4th: REO Speedwagon, Styx, Ted Nugent, New Found Glory, Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional, Wee The Kings and many others, including an AC/DC tribute band. Sunday, May 5th: Gary Allan, Kix Brooks, The Wallflowers, Josh Thompson, The Lone Bellow and many others, including Rolling Stones and Beatles tribute bands.

Pink Out Night with the Tampa Yankees: FIREWORKS & Zoo Passes

The Tampa Yankees will be wearing custom themed pink jerseys which fans can purchase through silent auction during the game. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Research Center and Institute. Auction winners will have the opportunity after the game to get their jersey autographed by the player who wore it. Ticket prices start at $4 for General Admission and $6 for Reserved Seating. Family 4-packs are also available for Saturday’s game for $38 and include two passes to Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo.

Louisville has the race.  The Florida Derby winner is one of the favorites plus it’s the day before Cinco De Mayo! On Derby Day, the gates will open at 10 a.m. and post time for the first live race will be noon and they will simulcast the full Churchill Downs race card!

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be party central for all things south of the border in elebration of Cinco de Mayo. $5 blackjack all day and food and beverage specials in all bars and restaurants. From 4 p.m. to  midnight, there’ll be crunchy tacos and cheese quesadillas for only $5 and chips and salsa

All aboard everyone! Big kids and little kids of all ages will giggle with delight when they climb on board Largo Central Railroad’s miniature trains. The first weekend of every month they open up and offer free public run days. Everyone is welcome. Over a mile and a half of tracks run through Largo Central Park. They operate from 10am to 4pm. Bring a picnic or buy lunch from one of the vendors. Children must be at least one year to ride the trains.
