Publix is offering two great cooking class choices for kids this summer: Grilling with Dad on June 8 and 15 and a three-day cooking camp that runs three times, beginning on June 17, 20 and 24. Grilling with Dad is open to kids aged eight to 12 and their dads. In this class, children will learn how to make grilled sausage and pepper flatbread, marinated flank steak, grilled corn on the cob, balsamic grilled vegetables and grilled peach cobbler. The cost of the class is $60 per child-father pair. The three-day camp features 12 different recipes, and each day has a different theme: Pizza Night, Pasta Night and Pie in the Sky Night. The cost of the camp is $125 per child.

Foodies will offer two camps to choose from and each camp will run twice. Children 12 to 17 will participate in daily recipe themes and then get to eat their creations for lunch. The weeks of July 16 and 23, young chefs will learn how to make cupcakes, Cajun food, soup and sandwiches, Sunday dinner and appetizers. During the weeks of July 30 and August 6, the daily themes will be sleepover foods, French food, chocolate, back to basics and fast and fresh. Tuition is $200 per child and is due at registration.

For 13 weeks during the summer, beginning with the first week of June and running through the first half of August, Chef Jason will be offering week-long cooking camps for kids ages six to 13. Children ages six to nine will take classes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., while children ages 10 to 13 are scheduled from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Each five-day camp has a theme, such as Pacific Rim, Greek Isles, All American and more. Camp tuition is $200 per week per child. A parental consent form and closed-toe shoes are required for participation.
