Game Time is a great place to go for some family fun and to beat the extreme summer heat in the Tampa Bay area. Have fun with video games like Pac-man, Sky Pirates and Indy 500, as well as ride-simulators like Star Wars Racer and Dirty Driving. One of the latest ride-simulators, Transformers Human Alliance, is played from the view of a soldier battling next to the Transformers. And the new, fully enclosed ride-simulator, Deadstorm Pirates, is played inside of an immersive environment. Once children experience the joy of flying through the air over and over again with the help of a trampoline, they will be begging you to bring them back again. For health-conscious families, the staff at Airheads wipes down all of the trampolines each night after closing with an anti-microbial solution. All jumpers must sign a waiver releasing Airheads Trampoline Arena of any liability from jumping. Airheads Trampoline Arena is available for birthday parties with prices starting at $299.

Grand Prix Tampa features 15 acres of activities of both indoor and outdoor fun for the whole family. Outdoor activities include a trampoline area, go carts, a ropes course and miniature golf. The indoor section of Grand Prix Tampa consists of three private birthday party rooms, a concession area that serves hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, ice cream and other treats, as well as a massive arcade area. The arcade area contains over 80 games like air hockey, driving games, Skeeball, basketball and games for kids.

An afternoon of air-conditioned fun is waiting for visitors at PlayGrounds of Tampa. This is an indoor bounce house with a section near the coffee house that is designated specifically for toddlers. The toddler area provides line of sight so parents can let the little ones have fun on their own yet they can still be seen by the parents. Playgrounds of Tampa also features Nerf games and vertical climbing walls. Admission is $12.95 for children three years old and up for two hours of play.

For some indoor summer fun, check out Q-Zar Tampa. Enjoy an air-conditioned afternoon of laser game fun in Q-Zar’s 5,000-square-foot battle arena. New games start every 20 minutes and you play the game with other gamers or with your friends. Q-Zar also has over 50 video games to enjoy while waiting for the laser tag game to begin. Four hours of laser tag games cost $23 per person after 3 p.m. each day. A single Q-Zar laser game ticket costs $8.50. Q-Zar is open seven days a week.
