From November 21, 2013 through January 5, 2014, enjoy ice skating at an outdoor rink in the heart of the City of Tampa, at Curtis Hixon Waterfont Park. Learn to ice skate, have a kids party or join a hockey league at the Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex in Brandon. This large facility includes two ice skating rinks, a fitness center and a hockey pro shop. Ellenton Ice teamed up with the Southwest Florida Figure Skating Club to present “Winter Dreams: A Holiday Ice Spectacular.” Shows in December featured national and international ice skating competitors, as well as talented beginners.

Family fun takes center stage at the Clearwater Ice Arena. In addition to hockey, figure skating and a fitness center, there is a summer camp for children ages five to 13, and birthday party events. If you prefer to spend you time on the ice without skates, you can enjoy a game of Broomball, which is like hockey in sneakers with a broom instead of a hockey stick.
