And students don’t even have to sweat scrounging up money for a cover charge. As such, Wednesdays have been dubbed WOB University, and the bar will occasionally have a live musical act playing. Even college faculty can take advantage of the offer that runs from 9 p.m. to close at all their locations. With cheap beer and good music, this is a place where both teachers and students can have a good time and bond over some great beer.

This wild college night adds some flavor with Jello fights. There’s no cover and guests are treated to $3 vodka drinks, $2 beers and young co-eds rolling around in a kiddie pool full of the jiggley stuff, just by showing up. VJ Hill and DJ Redness will pump some top 40, hip-hop and electronic sounds throughout the joint. Even if you’re not of legal drinking age, everyone ages 18 and up are welcomed to take-in the rowdy atmosphere taking place on Thursday nights.

This self-proclaimed lone German bar in Tampa features a Thursday College Night that provides hard-working students with karaoke and 2-for-1 drafts all day and night. This hotspot hosts the area’s only gay collegiate night. You don’t need to pay a cover and Social Club serves up free drinks from 9–11 p.m.; followed by $1 drinks from 11–midnight. But that’s not all––$2 drinks run from midnight to close for those who like to close the club down. Beer pong is often played and there’s even an amateur drag contest at 11 p.m. Drinking games, drag queens and cheap drinks make Social Club the place to be on collegiate night.

Even though this particular college night technically only benefits the ladies, fellas––at least you’ll know where they’ll be, right? At Hyde Park Cafe, lady college students drink free on Thursday night from 10 p.m. to midnight on select draft brews, specialty cocktails and the Cruzan flavor of the month. As for the guys, there’s usually a $5 cover. Most people usually get dolled up to enter this venue in South Tampa, but don’t let that fool you; a decent amount of drink prices are college-friendly, and this place has three rooms that should be able to please both the clubbers and the chillers.
