New Hot Colors Are In
Think a black or white skirt with a jacket that has a bright pop of color. Bright colors are trending now and some of the most popular colors are emerald green, carnation pink and purple shades of grapes and syrah. Another color that is a hit right now is orange. Two popular shades of orange for fall 2013 are tomato and red orange. As mentioned earlier, emerald green will be among the very top in color choices this fall. Another popular green now is pine. For those that like their reds and blues, the most popular choices now are crimson and cobalt blue.
Four To Five Pairs Of Jeans
Jeans are the basics of a college girl’s closet. Make sure the jeans fit well and get a couple different styles and color washes. One of these pairs can be trendy, like the skinny jeans, but don’t buy all trendy denim or the next year you run the risk of looking dated. One type of denim that used to be for summer only is white jeans, however now this denim is season-less and looks very chic no matter the time of year.
A Classic Dress
This is a piece that is easy and can be really dressed up or down to suit your style. It doesn’t have to be a black dress; as long as it fits well and looks classy, it can be a fashion statement. Most women always have an occasion for a little black dress, so if you can find a classic dress you love and find it in black, that is all the better.
Get tops that are varying lengths and styles so that you can wear them with jeans or skirts of different styles and fabrics. Also get a few tank tops that are 100-percent cotton. These will be very comfortable and can be worn alone in summer or layered under sweaters in fall and winter. Find your perfect cotton tank top and then get it in a few basic colors like grey, black, white and red that can be worn with a variety of outfits.
A Big Handbag
Try to find one that’s nice leather or faux leather. These are good choices that will last a long time and go with most of your wardrobe. A larger bag with lots of zippers and pockets would be a big bonus as it would help keep you organized both in class and out.
