Progress Energy Florida Agrees to Rate Settlement

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Progress Energy Florida is asking state regulators to approve a settlement covering base rates and nuclear power replacement charges that includes a $288 million refund to customers.

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. (AP) — The Nuclear Regulatory Commission wants to hear from people who oppose the construction of two new nuclear power reactors in west-central Florida.
