Florida A&M University’s famed marching band – tarnished by the beating death of one of its drum majors – appears unlikely to take the field once again anytime soon.

Family to Sue Owner of Bus where FAMU Student Died

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The parents of a Florida A&M band member who died after a hazing ritual last November said they will sue the company that owns the bus where the hazing took place.

FAMU band director fired after suspected hazing

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — The longtime director of Florida A&M University’s famed marching band was fired Wednesday as the fallout from a drum major’s suspected hazing death deepened. Florida’s governor said state investigators would join the probe and the college announced an independent review led by a former state attorney general.
