ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Central Florida’s loss in the Conference USA championship game has the Knights staying close to home for the holidays against Ball State in the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Bowl.

College football bowl season seems to start a little earlier and run a little longer each year. College bowl games are a chance for fans and players to enjoy one last hurrah for a successful season. It also gives coaches a chance to lay the foundation for the next season with 10 to 15 extra practices. One of the newer bowls on the scene is the Beef ‘O’Brady’s Bowl, played in St. Petersburg’s Tropicana Field.
