Justin Pawlowski
After a successful four years at Tampa Catholic, Justin’s passion and talent for football led to him receiving a scholarship to play football for the University of Connecticut. He would return home after a couple of years to finish his degree and start his broadcasting career while attending the University of South Florida.
Now a veteran in Tampa Bay sports radio since 2002, Justin became “The Commish” because of his expertise and advice while hosting multiple fantasy football leagues year in and year out. He continued to gain more status as being “The Most Fair and Just Commissioner in All the Land” because of his balanced approach he brings to the multiple radio shows he has been on in the Tampa Bay area.
Justin started as an intern for the “MJ Morning Show,” heard on multiple radio stations throughout the southeast United States, before moving to 620 WDAE “The Sports Animal” and their promotions department. He moved up the ranks at WDAE-AM from a promotions part-timer to part-time board operator to an executive producer before hosting his own weekly radio show.
As Justin’s career grew, so did his opportunities. In 2007, he was hired as pre- and post game host for USF’s football radio broadcasts. Then, in 2011, he was hired as the network anchor for the Buccaneers Radio Network.
Justin has covered an array of familiar sporting names in his career, including Bucs coaches Tony Dungy, Jon Gruden, and Greg Schiano, Rays manager Joe Maddon, Rays players such as David Price and Evan Longoria, USF football coaches Jim Leavitt and Skip Holtz, and many more.
In March of 2012, Justin was hired by CBS Sports Radio in Tampa to host his own daily radio show. Follow his career on at http://www.commishonline.com.
JUSTIN’S VIEW: “I’m looking forward to working with Gary to bring listeners an entertaining and informative show. It’s going to be a great ride.”
