U.S. Army Medic Awarded Medal of Honor

On Monday at a White House ceremony, President Donald Trump awarded a 71 year old former Army medic the highest US military award.

James McCloughan, a retired high school teacher and coach from South Haven, received the Medal of Honor for his valor in saving the lives of 10 members. McCloughan was a 23 when he served as an Americal Division medic and saved his wounded comrades under fire during the Vietnam War.
