North Korea has fired a missile that likely crashed into waters off the coast of Japan.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is convening an emergency meeting of officials. The launch comes one day after the 64th anniversary of the armistice that ended the Korean War. Today’s ballistic missile launch is North Korea’s 11th test this year. In early July, Pyongyang said it successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time.
