The Mannequin Challenge is Taking Over the Internet – and Politics?

Every year, there seems to be some new dance or challenge trending on the Internet. This year, it’s the Mannequin Challenge.

The Mannequin Challenge was popularized by a viral social media clip from a group of Florida high school students. There is no special skills involved. You don’t have to dance or be talented. All you have to do is stand still and not make a sound. From Basketball teams to presidential candidates, it’s one of the most creative challenges to hit the Internet in a long time.

 

The trick is to stand in the most ridiculous position or action while one person goes around the room and video records it. Most videos are followed with the smash hit “Black Beatles” by the group Rae Sremmurd. You can find them online with the hashtag #MannequinChallenge. Read more
