Amy Schumer pinched a nerve for some Trump supporters in Tampa on Sunday night. She did a show at the Amalie Arena in which she mocked Donald Trump and a few people didn’t like it.
Schumer’s known to be very vocal about many political topics, including gun control and this years election season. ” Orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster” were the exact words expressed by Schumer, a victim of sexual assault herself.
She made it clear she doesn’t understand how people can support Trump. At one point, she asked for a Trump supporter – “Preferably one with sleeves,” she told security personnel – to join her up on stage to explain their enthusiasm for Trump. One fellow did, but he said he was voting for Trump mainly because he doesn’t trust Clinton. When some audience members booed, the actor/comedian invited them to leave and also asked security to remove anyone booing.
The comedian wasn’t phased. In a statement to Vanity Fair, Ms. Schumer wrote: “I want to thank the 8,400 people who stayed!
