Power Outage at Universal orlando Halts 2 Rides

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A power outage at Universal Orlando Resort caused two rides to stop at the theme park resort.

Orlando Fire Department spokeswoman Ashley Papagni says passengers were evacuated from the Transformers ride, and the Men in Black ride also was halted.

Papagni says there were no reports of distress from ride passengers.

Firefighters were checking elevators at the resort to make sure nobody was stuck.

Papagni says the cause of the power failure wasn’t immediately known.
