West Palm Beach Repairman Faces Charges for In-Home Assault

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A West Palm Beach man is in jail on multiple charges after severely beating a woman at her home while on a scheduled repair call.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s officials say 34-year-old Dario Dotto arrived at the house in West Boynton Beach to repair an air conditioner on Friday. He then restrained the young children in the home and struck the woman multiple times with a blunt object. The victim was transported to Delray Medical Center to receive treatment for severe lacerations to the face and head.

Dotto was arrested Saturday. He faces charges of attempted murder, kidnapping and child abuse. Sheriff’s department officials say they do not know the motive behind the assault.
