Independence Day Weekend Events [2016]

There is way more than just fireworks going on this Independence Day weekend in Tampa Bay. Don’t get me wrong I love fireworks but they usually only last about 15-20 minutes, what else are we supposed to do?! Not worry, there are tons of events going on all over the Tampa Bay area. Saturday | July 2, 2016


Red, White, and Blue Family Day

Where: Tampa Museum of Art (120 Gasparilla Plaza)

When: July 2, 11am-4pm

What: Show your patriotism at the Museum. Free gallery admission and art making for the family!

Tampa Bay Rowdies Soccer Game (Rowdies vs. Jacksonville Armada FC)

Where: Al Lang Stadium (230 1st St. S., St. Petersburg)

When: Friday, July 2, 7:30pm

What: Take in a Rowdies soccer match AND a free concert from internationally famous recording artist Flo Rida! Stay after the match for a free show and FIREWORKS!

Tampa Red White & Blue Fest

Where: Cotanchobee Park (the park near the Amalie Arena, Channelside)

When: Sunday, July 3rd, 5pm-10pm

What: Join hundreds of family in Channelside on Sunday, July 3rd for the Tampa Red White & Blue Fest, celebrating America, the beautiful.

Where: Crowbar in Ybor (1812 N 17th St., Tampa)

When: Sunday, July 3, 5pm

What: The 10th annual hot dog eating extravaganza and rock ‘n’ roll throwdown features Roadkill Ghost Choir, Samurai Shotgun, Wolf-Face, Poetry ‘n Lotion and RGSM.

Where:  Whiteway Dr. & Gillette Ave. (Tampa)

2016 Brandon 4th Of July Parade

Where: Lumsden Rd. & Parsons Ave (101 East Lumsden Rd., Brandon)
