Teen in Critical Condition After Shooting in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Police in St. Petersburg are investigating the shooting of a teenager.

In a news release police reported that officers responded to calls about a person being shot early Tuesday morning. By the time police arrived at the scene, a 15-year-old boy had been placed in a private vehicle and was being driven to the hospital. Other responding officers stopped the vehicle and St. Petersburg Fire-Rescue paramedics began treatment.

The teen was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
