Live Snake Exhibit to Highlight New Busch Gardens Ride

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Busch Gardens has announced its latest thrill ride, called Cobra’s Curse — a spinning coaster that will feature an air-conditioned queue line with an exhibit of several of the world’s snake species.

The Tampa Tribune (http://bit.ly/1SzqEwP) reports that theme park held a tour of the construction site Wednesday.

According to the plans for Cobra’s Curse, guests will be just inches away from the 400-cubic-foot multi-level snake exhibit that will include Jameson’s mambas, Angolan pythons and rhinoceros and gaboon vipers.

Busch Gardens officials say the spin coaster is the only one of its kind in the world, featuring a 70-foot vertical lift and more than 2,100 feet of track. The maximum speed is 40 mph.

Cobra’s Curse will debut this summer.
