On Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos will be battling it out to take home the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl 50, but there is a lot more to it. This “golden game” is a landmark moment for sports and will go down in history as one of the most iconic moments in football.

Jim Nantz & Phil Simms, Lead Super Bowl Announce Team

Jim Nantz will be making history when he calls Super Bowl 50 with New York Giants great Phil Simms. It took a moment for him to realize it, but Nantz calling Super Bowl 50 is one for the record books, as he has also called the 50th Masters tournament and was part of the call on the 50th NCAA Final Four.

Phil Simms knows that the teams are evenly matched and that the coaches have their own talents and skills. “We’ve seen the teams, we know what they are about,” said Simms. “Ron Rivera has an emotional football team and his decision-making can sometimes go along those lines. Gary Kubiak…his team is tough, controls tempo of the game, and if all goes the way they want, that’s how they’d like to see the Super Bowl go.”
