Service Animals: The Turkey Edition

If you’re like most people, you’ve been to a mall or restaurant and encountered someone with a service animal, usually a friendly, fluffy dog that is walking around with someone who seems to not be blind at all. Unless your heart is three sizes too small, do you really care that someone who might be suffering from something you can’t immediately diagnose brought their service animal along for some shopping, even if that animal happens to be a 32oz chihuahua that is half hate and half shake?

Well, on a recent domestic flight, a flight attendant took a picture of a very unique service animal that someone brought on to a plane. It was a live turkey service animal, flying coach on a commercial airliner, in the United States of America in 2016. Maybe all of the turkeys who are pardoned by the president at Thanksgiving get this kind of work and no one talks about it.

There is still no confirmation on if the turkey had the chicken or fish dinner.
