Universal Orlando To Increase Hourly Wages In June

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Universal Orlando Resort is increasing its starting hourly pay from $9 to $9.50, with an increase to $10 next year.

Universal announced the increase Wednesday as it begins a push to fill summer and permanent positions. The increase to $9.50 an hour will start in June, while the increase to $10 will start in June 2016. Officials say many current workers will see increases in their hourly rates to reflect the new rate scale.

Universal Orlando will hold a by-invitation job fair April 30 at its Orlando human resources building. Those interested can apply online at www.UniversalOrlandoJobs.com .
