TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Former President Bill Clinton is back in Florida, stumping once more for former Gov. Charlie Crist as he seeks to recapture his old post.

Clinton was scheduled to headline an afternoon Tampa rally at Cyrus Greene Park. Earlier in the day, Clinton campaigned with congressional candidate and fellow Democrat Gwen Graham. He also spoke at Florida A&M University.

Meanwhile, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie spent the day barnstorming Florida with GOP Gov. Rick Scott in his bid for re-election, with stops in Plantation, Boca Raton and other cities. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal will campaign with Scott in Sarasota Tuesday.

With the governor’s race in a dead heat, the campaigns have turned personal and ugly, while millions of outside dollars are flowing in.
