(AUDIO) Lot Of Teams Made Statements In College Football This Past Weekend

Charles Davis joined Fan Interference to give us his thoughts on a wild first weekend in college football. First of all, we took a step back and looked at the play of Texas A&M and Kevin Sumlin. Davis said that Sumlin has already become one of the great minds in college and is getting plenty of feelers from the NFL.

Another team that announced themselves on a national stage was Bobby Petrino and Louisville. Louisville has a running game, and a young talented quarterback that can compete in the ACC with Florida State. Florida State put in a so so performance this past weekend, and Charles said that if that is their down performance, that the Seminoles are going to be just fine moving forward.

Other big teams that were title contenders preseason that left a lot to be desired were Alabama, Ohio State, and UCLA. Charles believed that Alabama and Ohio State will probably figure out in time, but UCLA will need to address their issues on the O-line before they can consider themselves a top team.

The Gators had their first game cancelled due to weather and Charles said that that is a big loss for the Gators who need to get acclimated to their new offense and they missed that opportunity to do that against a team like Idaho.
