TAMPA (CBS Tampa) — Charles Barkley and Tiger Woods won’t be golfing together anytime soon.

Speaking to 97.5 The Fanatic last week, Barkley admitted that he and the golf superstar are no longer friends.

“We’re not friends anymore,” the basketball Hall of Famer said.

Barkley stated that Woods is not a very social guy.

“I think that when you’re as great as he has been, and this probably is a negative at some point, like he was so consumed with being the greatest golfer ever, he wasn’t a very sociable guy,” Barkley told 97.5. “Even when he was a friend of mine, he wasn’t a very sociable guy. He just had a one-track mind. He just wanted to break Jack Nicklaus’ record.”

Barkley and Woods were very good friends until Woods was mired in scandals over his extramarital affairs in November 2009. Claims were made that Barkley, along with Michael Jordan, were a bad influence on Woods.

Woods finished 6-over at the British Open earlier this month, matching his highest score at the event. He finished 23 shots behind champion Rory McIlroy.
