(POLL) Did The Rays Overreact To David Ortiz’s Bat Flip?

The Tampa Bay Rays saw their nine-game winning streak end yesterday in a 3-2 loss to the Boston Red Sox on Sunday, as David Ortiz provided Boston with all the runs they needed courtesy of a three-run homer. After Ortiz made contact, he stared at Rays pitcher Chris Archer and flipped his bat before beginning his home run trot. Archer was not appreciative.

“I don’t know what makes him think that he can showboat the way he does, and then nobody retaliates,” Archer said after the game. “Nobody looks at him in a funny way or pitches him inside. I don’t know why he feels like that, but obviously he feels the way David (Price) said he does — he feels like he’s bigger than the game. He feels like the show is all about him.”

Do you believe that Archer and the Rays overreacted or does he have a point? Vote in our poll below!
