30,000 Pounds Of Red Bull Spills Onto Florida Highway

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – They say Red Bull gives you wings, but in this case a massive clean-up crew was needed.

WKMG-TV reports that a Florida State Troopers ticketed Jesus Fernandez after he sideswiped a semitrailer while driving one himself.

Fernandez was driving north in the outside lane of Interstate 95 when he saw another semitrailer parked on the side of the road, according to police reports obtained by WKMG.  Fernandez told police he attempted to move mover but there was traffic in the lane next to him. Fernandez swerved back into the outside lane and his trailer sideswiped the one on the side of the road.

Fernandez’s trailer was carrying 30,000 pounds of Red Bull.  The trailer ripped open and Red Bull spilled all over I-95.

Police issued Fernandez a ticket for failing to maintain a single lane.
