(AUDIO) Daytona Coke Zero 400 Winner Aric Almirola on the Fan Morning Show

Aric Almirola wins his first Sprint Cup victory, and he did it at what he considers to be his “home” track. Almirola is from Tampa and took enough visits to Daytona as a kid to dream of one day racing there.

“Obviously, this is really special,” Almirola said. “I grew up just two hours away. I sat in these grandstands watching the DAYTONA 500, watching the 400. And all the history behind the 43 car, I’m really appreciative of that.”

Almirola, on a recent visit to the Tampa Bay area, took in a Rays game, and he checked in with the crew on the Fan Morning Show.
